Working Great So Far

I've had it for a few weeks now and it seems to be bearing the salty muck of spring just fine, no issues with anything inside being soaked.

Material is handling weather fluctuations perfectly though more time is needed for a better opinion on that. Temperatures easily swing + - 20c in a day right now.

I do wish the hook and loop straps that secure the bags in place against the rear bar were literally anything other than what they are though, they are truly a pain in the ass to get on and off. I may go so far as to replace them with clips or something. -1 star purely just for this.

Heroically carries all my groceries so my back doesn't have to, that's worth a lot to me!

Bike Rack Pannier Bag

For what they are they are almost perfect. To make them perfect they would have to be insulated to carry ice packs and store perishable snacks & drinks. If the cost is too much just insulate 1 bag & the other could be used for dry goods IE: rain wear extra clothing if too cold etc. Etc.

Pannier Bags

Construction, look & style are fine, but functionally deficient in the following ways:
1. Easy to mount but very difficult to attach the lower retaining strap that keeps each bag from flopping about while riding. I finally devised a method that essentially keeps the bags attached adequately and I'll use an inner bag in each side that I'll remove each time rather than the pannier bags themselves. Easy to see why panniers that clip on are the way to go.
2. Bag closure is not great. I live in Victoria BC and we get a lot of rain. The closure design will not keep everything dry as the top does not cover the sides enough to prevent rain, especially wind driven rain from getting in.
